Milford Food Bank is an entirely privately funded. That means we can only keep our mission going with your support. Donations mostly help us pay for the freight required to ship free food to our warehouse and distribution center. It also helps to cover the cost of local food rescue and collection. Finally, we have to keep the lights on and we can't do this without your help! Milford Food Bank is a 501c3 non-for-profit organization. Donations to support our mission are tax-deductible. Volunteer Your Time
Milford Food Bank offers many different ways to individuals or groups can serve our communities. Clubs, sports teams, businesses, churches, families - any group is welcome. We are also always open to individual volunteers as well. Check out the ways you can volunteer below!
Food Packaging
Milford Food Bank receives some food in bulk. We need volunteers to repackage this food to be able to distribute it to our partners. Food Packaging is a great way for a group to volunteer. Contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Carol, at (574) 518-4604 or cahaab@gmail.com.
Help with Distributions
Milford Food Bank is open to our partners every Monday and Friday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Volunteers help check our partners in and out as well as make sure they get the product they need. Helping with distribution is an option for both groups and individuals to help. Contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Carol, at (574) 518-4604 or cahaab@gmail.com.
Hauling
Milford Food Bank moves a lot of food. We are always looking for help moving food. Whether you are a trucking business or just have some time to drive a box truck locally, we can use your help. Contact our Operations Manager, Bill, at bill@milfordfoodbank.org.
