BECOME A VOLUNTEER
Being a part of something larger than oneself can have a ripple effect. Volunteers of Milford Food Bank find fulfillment and joy in serving others. They help with sorting, packing, cleaning, driving, and on distribution days. We have something for just about everyone. We offer many ways for individuals and groups to serve at our facility. Clubs, sports teams, businesses, churches, families - all groups are welcome.

FOOD PACKAGING
Some food arrives in our facility in bulk. Our volunteers repackage this food in smaller containers, making it ready for our partners to take and share with their patrons. Food Packaging is a great volunteer opportunity for individuals or groups.

FOOD SORTING
When we receive loose items from grocery and big box stores, our volunteers sort these items by category. These volunteers help distribution days run smoothly.

DISTRIBUTION
We are open to our partners every Monday and Friday morning by appointment. Volunteers help on distribution days by checking our partners in and out and helping them get the products they need.

TRUCKING
TRUCKING
We move a LOT of food. Whether you are a trucking business or an individual who has time to drive a box truck locally, we can use your help. Contact our Operations Manager, Bill at bill@milfordfoodbank.org or submit this form.

CLEANING
Our distribution center is about 4,000 sq. ft. and requires regular maintenance and cleaning. Volunteers help to keep our facility clean, tidy, and ready for distribution days.

THE RESOURCE STORE
The Milford Food Bank Resource Store is open the third Wednesday of each month and located in Ligonier. It is stocked by Milford Food Bank and run by volunteers. Learn more HERE.
