We wholeheartedly believe we have the best volunteers at Milford Food Bank, so each month we feature one of our loyal volunteer staff members to share about. Today, we are featuring Anna Miller of Milford, Indiana.
What’s the most surprising thing you’ve learned while volunteering at Milford Food Bank?
That a little bit of hard work goes a very long way.
What’s your favorite thing to do when here?
My favorite thing to do at the food bank is packing the food into bags and loading them into boxes.
What’s a small moment here that made a big impact on you?
One day in my third or fourth week of volunteering, it was pouring rain, and there was no way I could walk all the way down to the library, so Cindy Tudor [fellow volunteer] offered me a ride. That day sparked an amazing relationship with one of my favorite people.
Why do you volunteer your time?
I have loved volunteering since I was very young. This was another opportunity for me to serve in my community.
What motivates you to keep coming back, even on the hard days?
I’d say the thing that motivated me the most was the fact that I am able to see one of my favorite people, Cindy Tudor.
